Alcorn State comes up to Nashville from Alabama and the FCS ranks. Here are a few things to know about the purple and gold:

• The Braves dropped a 41-3 decision to UAB in week one

• Alcorn State only went for 177 total yards of offense in that one, 60 through the air

• Last year, ASU finished 6-2 in SWAC play, 7-4 overall in the 2023 campaign

• This is the first all-time meeting between the two programs, the second-straight season Vandy has hosted a team from the SWAC
