Women’s Hoops (22-9) will face reigning NCAA Champions South Carolina (27-3) in the quarterfinals of the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament:
The Gamecocks claimed their fourth-straight SEC Regular-Season Championship with 15-1 mark in league play this season
In those four seasons, South Carolina went 62-2, the title was the Gamecocks’ ninth in the last 12 seasons
South Carolina continues to stake its success on inside play, leading the nation with 41.9 points in the paint per game
The team is sixth in the nation with 5.8 blocks per game
Forward Joyce Edwards became just the third freshman in program history to earn First-Team All-SEC honors, joining former Gamecocks A’ja Wilson and Aliyah Boston
