🏀 STARTING FIVE

Men’s Hoops (15-4) are set to welcome No. 4 Kentucky (14-4) to open weekend competition:

  • The Wildcats are coming off of a defeat versus No. 8 Alabama where Kentucky guard Otega Oweh tied his season high of 21 points, adding two steals

  • Despite the loss, Kentucky proved to be an offense-heavy team as seven players scored in double-figures

Commodores (16-4) look to take down a 17-3 Alabama team in a Sunday showdown before travelling to Gainesville to meet Florida (11-9):

  • No. 19-ranked Alabama soared past Arkansas despite playing without captain Sarah Ashlee Barker

  • Zaay Green spearheaded the Crimson Tide with her near double-double performance of 21 points and seven assists

  • Three Alabama players scored in double figures in the first half, giving the Crimson Tide a 12-point lead after 20 minutes

  • Earlier in the week, the Florida Gators fell to the undefeated No. 5 LSU Tigers, 80-63

  • UF’s 63 points marked the team’s third lowest scoring game of the 2024-25 season (lowest was 55 points vs. Kentucky (01/09/2025)

  • Following the contest, Freshman guard Liv McGill officially claimed double figures in 18 of her 20 outings, shooting 37.9% from the field (22-58)
