🏆 STARTING FIVE: MARCH MAYHEM

No. 7 Women’s Hoops will open NCAA Tournament action against No. 10 Oregon this evening. With a win, the Dores will face either No. 2 Duke or No. 15 Lehigh in the Round of 32:

  • Oregon and Vanderbilt have met twice previously, most recently during the 1994-95 season, the Dores hold a 2-0 lead in the all-time series

  • A win would be the Ducks' first NCAA Tournament win since 2021 when they advanced to the Sweet Sixteen

Duke

  • Fresh off winning the 2025 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament title against NC State, Duke will make its 27th all-time NCAA Championship appearance

  • The Blue Devils hold a 61-26 (.701) all-time record in the NCAA Tournament, advancing to 18 Sweet 16's – most recently in 2024 – 11 Elite Eights and four Final Fours over the program's history

Lehigh

  • Earlier this week, Lehigh secured its fifth Patriot League Championship with a 74-62 win over Army

  • The Mountain Hawks shot a season-high 60% from the field, going 27-of-45, seeing a dominant second-half surge in the matchup

No. 10 Men’s Basketball takes on No. 7 Saint Mary’s to kick-off NCAA Tournament play before potentially battling No. 2 Alabama or No. 15 Robert Morris in the Round of 32:

  • For the first time in program history, the back-to-back-to-back WCC regular season champs, Saint Mary's, makes their fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament

  • The Gaels trail the all-time series against Vanderbilt, 3-1

Alabama

  • This season, the Crimson Tide advanced to the SEC Tournament semifinals before falling to eventual champion Florida and will now play in its 26th all-time NCAA Tournament

  • Alabama leads the nation in scoring, averaging 91.1 points per game, and rank first in rebounding with 43.1 boards per game

Robert Morris

  • For the 10th time in program history and the first time since 2020, Robert Morris has been selected to play in the NCAA Tournament

  • The Colonials are 2-10 all-time against teams currently in the SEC
